For the first Brand Strategy session, we joined the Lewisham and Southwark college in-house team and played an active part as Net Natives asked the stakeholders a series of questions and documented the response and discussion in Sharpie and Post-it note form.
Question 1 called upon the room to consider what was important to the target market; 16-18 year old prospective students from the area.
'Making something of themselves' was deemed to be of real importance to the target market, as well as 'new experiences', 'challenges' and 'self image' (how they were perceived by others).
Question 2 asked the room to consider what students fears and apprehensions might be.
Fear of failure and not fitting in seemed to be high on the list of worries.
Another question asked the room to consider what the benefits were of Lewisham Southwark College.
Lewisham and Southwark College's diversity and reputation for support seem to be in particular high regard.
Next up will be the second Net Natives hosted Brand Strategy day at the Waterloo campus in early November. Following this we will look back and consider insights from our time spent over both sessions.
