When our good client Accent Catering Services came to us to help them with their forthcoming exhibition we jumped at the chance. One of the reasons this project appealed so much is down to the challenging nature of the shell scheme and the limited space you get as an exhibitor. Accent have been exhibiting at the Independent School Bursars Conference now for 3 years including 2015, so this stand would need to surpass all previous, yet still fit within a rather prohibitive 3x3 metre spot and this year with only one open side. Glassup & Stoski partner Matt Glassup works closely with Accent on a daily basis as a Consultant Brand Manager and there was none better to handle the concept, design and logistics of this build.
We worked hand-in-hand with the in-house team on a variety of the aspects involved. Food Development Director, Paul Merry put his culinary skills on display in the form of six unique, Independent School tailored nibbles that would have the Bursars coming back over and over again for the duration of the conference. Matt and Paul collaborated on a 16 page brochure that accompanied the stand detailing recipes and photography captured jointly between Matt and Accent's in-house Assistant Design Manager, Emma Lavender.
We helped Accent complete all the necessary forms and applications, covering health and safety while liaising with the team brought in to produce, erect and dismantle the stand. It really was a very complete end-to-end service, hopefully giving back some precious hours to the Accent senior management who are extremely busy as the business continues to thrive.
Ian Crabtree, Managing Director of Accent Catering had some lovely feedback for us post-conference that we would love to share:
"The stand was amazing and clearly delivered what we are about. The attention to detail and impact was incredible, and day two saw even more exhibitors coming up to see and say just how good it was. Even ISBA themselves were impressed. We really appreciate all the time you generously gave us and put in to making the event so successful. Well done and many thanks."
As Accent welcome aboard a new Director of Sales we hope to further build upon the successful design collaboration to date with new ideas and ways to improve and evolve the design and marketing side of the business. Thank you to Accent for trusting in us to deliver and giving us another opportunity to work with them on ISBA. Some additional thanks must go to Paul for giving us some wonderful food to work with, Ian and Clare for their input throughout the concept process, Emma for all her help with the photography, art framing and logistics and finally the G&S team involved; Natalie, Nick and Matt.
